The project idea is a metaphor of the Sukkah (hut), a “temporary home” erected on the occasion of the homonymous festival, in memory of the exit of the people of Israel from Egypt.
It is a covering that determines an urban “interior”: a shaded space by day, light space at night. The geometry of the main structure is placed perpendicular to the sea while the secondary one “run after” the solarization.
It is a multipurpose place, designed to accommodate not only the weekly market, but also cultural, sporting and trade fair events. A place therefore of meeting and socialization, identified in a strategic plan of regeneration of the “waterfront”, thus assigning to the same structure a role of landmark, of contact of relationship between the city and its sea.
